Frigid air that normally stays trapped in the Arctic has escaped, plunging deep into the United States for an extended visit that is expected to provoke teeth-chattering but not be record-shattering.
It’s a cold air outbreak that some experts say is happening more frequently, and paradoxically, because of a warming world. Such cold air blasts have become known as the polar vortex. It’s a long-established weather term that’s become mainstream as its technical meaning changed a bit on the way.

Some years ago I was having some work done on my house here in Florida and it was colder than Hillary’s heart in April. I commented upon this phenomenon to the repairman and he assured me it was Global Warming. See, the warming is causing all the ice up north to slide south and thats why its cold. Either he had a great dry sense of humor or he was a true believer.

What a load of crap. When this happened even before the 90s, it was just a polar front cooming down from Canada. Now it’s “global warming”. Anything to try and scare people into complying with the global agenda.

A few years ago, Buffalo had a winter with no snow. That was because of the “lake effect” caused by global warming.
The next year Buffalo had a record amount of snow — because of the “lake effect” caused by global warming.
Remember, if there is less rain than average it is because of global warming. If there is more rain than average it is because of global warming. If there is an average amount of rain that means that the climate is stagnating — because of global warming.

Over ninety percent of climate scientists now agree that it gets really cold in the winter and really hot in the summer. Not sure what sort of Walmart degree these so-called scientists receive. I assume it’s either an online or correspondence course.
All I do during these global warming events is throw another tire on the fire.

Around here, that’s known as “winter”.
Weather is less of a “science” than alchemy. At least with alchemy you can mix the same materials in the same order and get the same results each time. Weather is wild and untamed and there is no formula for it. Weathermen are just fortune tellers using globes instead of crystal balls.
