NYP: Federal health authorities have upgraded their recall of 13-ounce bags of Frito-Lay potato chips over fears that consuming the products, which may contain undeclared milk, could potentially be fatal.
Last month, the Food and Drug Administration announced that Frito-Lay was voluntarily recalling a limited batch of products. more here
Thats no joke. Milk is an allergen. Everyone in the food business KNOWs better than to have undeclared allergens or really, ANY ingredient not shown on the label, its been the law for a REALLY long time.
Anyone packaging for Lay’s KNOWS this.
Someone should get fired.
What if you screamed “this IS milk” and then ate them.
Yes, the chips should have been labeled properly.
In the same vein, govt should be properly labeled, too.
CONTENTS: Coercion, Theft, Fraud, Deceit, Arrogance, Condescension, Bullying, FBI & ATF added to kill your dog and flashbang your baby. Less than 1% of RDA of protection, service, value, adherence to Constitutional limits.
If it was undocumented milk everyone would be fighting to keep it in.
I gotta list of D woids that might help you out with that label Unc!
Many years ago my wife worked for a company that packaged Ben and Jerry’s ice cream. Someone forgot to include “nuts” in the Chunky Monkey pint container labels at the “contains” section. Even though it said “nuts” on the front label they couldn’t distribute them and none reached the store shelves so it was never announced as a recall. The company announced to the employees they could have free ice cream if they signed a waver. My wife stopped at the local store during lunch and bought a styrofoam cooler. When I got home I found a year’s worth of Chunky Monkey in our freezer!
PS – now that I know they are leftist scumbags I will never eat their ice cream again, even though I love Chunky Monkey…
I had a son and a grandson allergic to milk. I’m not sure about it killing them. BTW they both outgrew it.
I do believe everything should be labeled but it sounds overly dramatic to me.
Food allergies are no joke. If you’re acutely allergic to something, you read the labels. If the labels are wrong…
Now if they could just do something about the damn lone star tick allergy, I’d be able to eat venison again…
Why isn’t there any labels that warn against voting for democrats?
Edit–
Why AREN’t….
Milk in potato chips? Really?
Harvey Milk declared containing lead and quickly recalled.
Jethro, am happy that you survived the Chunky Monkey!
So Lays doesn’t simply fry potato slices in oil to make “chips”?
And their prices lately have been shadowing egg prices…
They forced the recall of millions of pounds of Kirkland (Costco) butter because they said it lacked the appropriate warning that it was made from milk. You CANNOT CALL SOMETHING BUTTER UNLESS ITS MADE FROM MILK!!!
Americans longterm lack of education has reduced them to ninnies who only know that their food comes from the store.
And they must constantly snack or slurp on something/whatever ends up in their increasingly pudgy mitts.
In stores, the odds are high you’ll get run over by someone on oxygen with a catheter who weighs 275+ lbs.
I scoff at all this when I must walk past a half parking lot of handicap spots and spots reserved for the lazy youth who have their shopping done for them and delivered to their idling car while their ass gets wider in the seat, despite their fitness to shop for themselves.
And I fantasize that the store jerks pick the rotting potatoes, bruised onions, and broken eggs to fill their sacks.
What? With all the great comments no one suggested my thoughts yet?
Seems to me I don’t remember everything being unsafe with so many autistic, allergic, etc., etc., when I was growing up. Perhaps RFK Jr. does need to be installed.
The drug addict might be safer with the product from his dealer? Or is it that we are all addicts now regarding the crap we ingest. As I often say to the wife, “pass the chemical spread please.” Easier to spread than the butter just out of the fridge. And there’s the answer as to how lazy I/we ‘ve become.
