Sen. Thom Tillis Files Bill to Allow Victims of Illegal Alien Crime to Sue Sanctuary Cities

Breitbart

North Carolina Republican Sen. Thom Tillis has filed a bill that would allow the victims of migrant crime to sue the sanctuary cities that facilitated that crime.

On Thursday, Tillis and nine other Republicans filed S. 185, a bill titled the “Justice for Victims of Sanctuary Cities Act.”

“For far too long, we have watched local jurisdictions in North Carolina and across the country ignore the lawful notification and detainer requests made by ICE agents and instead release dangerous criminals back into their communities, putting innocent lives at risk,” Tillis said in a statement. “It is time for Congress to step in and hold sanctuary cities accountable.” read more

  1. So simple even Carl Spackler can understand it!
Sanctuary Cities declared their intentions when they labeled themselves as saviors to Illegals, then encouraged, enabled, fed and housed this new criminal element.
HEY! THEY OWN IT LOCK, STOCK and BARREL!
THey should be obligated to pay for the crime that they themselved brought to the table! Let them pay the victims and OH and by the way, shut off the Federal spigot to them at the same time cuz most Americans don’t support it and don’t want their harrd-earned tax money paying for it. Let these cities go broke on their own, then be run by a federal city manager!

  2. Furthermore, the Constitution and Bill of Rights do not grant rights. Rights are God given, the Constitution and Bill of Rights recognizes them as such. Cut off any and all federal funding to any jurisdiction that habitually seeks to interfere with that and kick the door wide open by ending qualified immunity to the elected officials who are engaging in that.

  3. Speaking of rights, this one has beenn around for a couple of decades that I know of, but it seems to take on more meaning every year:

    The Common Sense of Rights
The, the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid any more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to establish some common-sense guidelines for all of you terminally whiny, White guilt-ridden, dumbed-down, self-absorbed, media-influenced, celebrity-obsessed, politically correct, kneepad liberal bed-wetters.
We hold these truths to be self-evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights. These people are so incredibly stupid, they require a Bill of No Rights.

ARTICLE I: You don’t have the right to a new car, big-screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing you anything.

ARTICLE II: You don’t have the right never to be offended. This country is based on freedom– freedom for everyone, not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, turn off the TV or radio or express a different opinion. The world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.

ARTICLE III: You don’t have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful. Don’t expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.

ARTICLE IV: You don’t have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people around. We’ll gladly help anyone in need, but we’re quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional parasites who achieve nothing more than creating another generation of professional parasites.

ARTICLE V: You don’t have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing and education, we’re just not interested.

ARTICLE VI: You don’t have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap or intentionally kill someone, don’t be surprised if the rest of us want to see your murdering ass fry in the electric chair.

ARTICLE VII: You don’t have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don’t be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won’t have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.

ARTICLE VIII: You don’t have the right to demand our children risk their lives in foreign wars to soothe your aching conscience. We all hate oppressive governments and won’t lift a finger to stop you from going to fight if you’d like. But we don’t enjoy parenting the entire world and don’t want to spend so much of our time battling each and every little tyrant with a military uniform and a funny hat.

ARTICLE IX: You don’t have the right to a job. All of us surely want all of you to have one, and we’ll gladly help you during hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of your opportunities for education and vocational training and make yourself useful.

ARTICLE X: You don’t have the right to happiness. Being an American means you have the right to pursue happiness– which by the way, is a lot easier if you’re unencumbered by all those idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.

  4. Then, maybe go after the so-called “churches” that facilitate criminal illegal aliens while sucking money from our tax dollars? How about no tax dollars go to churches?
Doing so in a way they can’t be made a weapon against the real church.
