    “Road trips going forward?”

…werent you paying attention to the cars that got roasted in the middle of the street in Philly, or the guy in the diner that got drilled by high-speed airplane partage?

You dont need to be on an airplane to die in an airplane crash.

    Just kind of unlucky…

    ..so?

Airplanes have their own extinguishing systems, and sometimes fires go out when you turn off the gas on their own.

Not sure why that detail is relevant, unless folks were mad they didnt get cool YouTube fodder after debarking onto the tarmac…

  4. The US Navy put on airshow for the Shah of Iran on board the Kitty Hawk during the spring of 1974 inside the Persian Gulf. One of my chiefs was almost hit by a flying piece of shrapnel when we were dropping 500 # bombs ahead of the ship trying to impress the Shah with our naval power. The chief was damn lucky that he didn’t get hit by that shrapnel when we were basically killing fish inside the Persian Gulf. I was part of the inspection for the Shah up on the flight deck and fortunately since I worked night check from 7 PM to 7 AM and I was able to go back to my rack shortly after the inspection was over. This was still 4 years prior to Jimmy Carter deposing the Shah and starting all the mess with the mad mullahs in Iran and destabilizing the entire middle east when we were supplying the Iranians with brand new F-14 Tomcats and the support crews to fly them. Thanks for nothing Mr. Peanut, you screwed up big time.
