As California’s wolf population expands, the predators there are costing ranchers millions — not just in value of the cattle killed, but through collateral effects as well, according to a new study.

  1. They’re thick in extreme NorCal and showing up mid state in the Sierra’s. When the DFG tell you there at a certain geographical point they’re wrong. They’ve penetrated much farther south than the DFG will tell you. There’s a reason they killed most of them off in the first place. Just a matter of time before they eat a tree huger. I can’t wait.

  2. I hunt bear in Northern Idaho. The people up there hate wolves with a burning passion. I’m always told that if I see one to blast it and they will tag it.

  3. Wolves were reintroduced years ago here in Wisconsin and its been a all around negative outcome. Our ancestors fought hard to eradicate the wolf population, only to have a few government idiots bring them back.

There’s a big push underway to reintroduce Brown Bears back into California. Which I fully support as long as they put them in Oakland, San Fransisco and Los Angeles.

  5. Eavesdropping on conversations at a restaurant in Kalispell, the SS&S concept was wildly favored. Those responsible for wolf introduction (notice I didn’t say RE introduction?) were from Denver, Portland, Seattle, Berkeley, Faggotville, and other areas not impacted by the damage caused by their fantasy.
