The Trump administration on Tuesday fired Doug Emhoff, the husband of Kamala Harris, from the board that oversees the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.
Emhoff was among several Biden administration appointments to the board.
“Today, I was informed of my removal from the United States Holocaust Memorial Council,” Emhoff said.
“Let me be clear: Holocaust remembrance and education should never be politicized. To turn one of the worst atrocities in history into a wedge issue is dangerous — and it dishonors the memory of six million Jews murdered by Nazis that this museum was created to preserve,” he added. more

Dougie decries the firings as politically motivated, but neglects to mention that he and those other lefties who were canned were appointed by Joey B’s handlers on Jan. 17, 2025. They were named to the board three days before President Trump assumed office, obviously with the specific purpose of preventing him from naming his own people.
But of course THAT wasn’t political. No-no-no-no never in a million years. Nope.

One could say that having a “United States Holocaust Memorial Council” in the first place, with members picked by US Presidents, is politicizing Holocaust remembrance. In fact, one could say that having taxpayers fund the Holocaust Museum is politicizing holocaust remembrance. Something like this should be a privately funded affair.
The holocaust didn’t happen here, and it didn’t happen to Americans. There are plenty of memorials and museums in the places where it did happen, and if the descendants of victims and survivors who live here now wanted to have a museum, they should have done it privately. Then no President or other Federal official would have any say in who runs it.
So STFU, Doug. You wanted the government to pay for the museum, but you should have known they’d take their pound of flesh. Now go home and help your wife become Governor of California.
