To be fair, Sowell did point out that Russia, Venezuela and Cuba are socialist governments that proved that this system does not work. AOC’s answer? Put the word “democratic” in front of “socialism.” That’s an utterly stupid statement; these are two different systems.
Thomas Sowell is one of my favorite economists with an ability to explain basic economics in an understandable fashion. AOC is a grifter who likes power and her cushy do-nothing congressional seat too much to entertain any ideal that might jeopardize her power grab.
