The two victims, a man and a woman, were leaving an event at the Capital Jewish Museum around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday when the suspect approached a group of four people and opened fire, Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela Smith said at a news conference.
The suspect was observed pacing outside the museum before the shooting, walked into the museum after the shooting and was detained by event security, Smith said.

I can’t say I don’t care about the murderer, but I can say I care deeply about this young couple whose lives were so viciously snuffed out. They weren’t 2 “dindu’s” who were finally getting their lives straightened out. By all accounts both of them were truly exceptional in every way. I am heart broken for the world’s loss of these two very fine young people.
Whatever it takes, POTUS Trump and this congress must do all that is possible — and even impossible — to rid our country of the black evil that gives rise to these heinous acts. I just can’t comprehend the depths of the evil that convinces someone to shoot and kill two people he didn’t know.
