NPR Hates Your Grilling Out on Memorial Day

Newsbusters

Americans just can’t seem to be able to own anything and enjoy their holidays in peace without some pretentious snobs in leftist media lecturing them to be “climate-friendly.”

As Americans were gearing up for the Memorial Day festivities, taxpayer-funded NPR decided to have a beef with how they cook their meat in a May 23 piece of climate babble.

“Electric grills are a climate-friendly option to fossil fuel grills,” read the didactic propaganda from NPR Climate Desk correspondent Jeff Brady. “Summer grilling usually starts with filling a propane tank or buying a bag of charcoal briquettes. But some people are ditching these fuels for a more climate-friendly electric grill,” he bleated. More

  1. A crazy leftist in the hood asked the HOA board to contract with a drone operator to track down neighbors using anything but an electric BBQ. You could smell Traegers and charcoal all around his house for a week. Traeger owners filled up their hoppers, turned on the smoke, left ’em running 24/7.

  2. Electric grills?! I guess those NPR girlies finally found a suitable gizmo to grill tofu and alfalfa sprouts.

Betcha that gizmo was made in a CCP forced labor camp.

  3. If you want to be carbon neutral, take a tip from Upchuck Schumer…..don’t put any charcoal in the barbecue and put cheese on your uncooked hamburger for a ‘green’ treat-net zero and delicious (because the treehuggers are telling you that it’s delicious)!

  4. I think in retaliation for their stupidity, selfishness and their endless desire to control everyone that tomorrow I’ll burn that pile of tires I have on the back 40.

  5. More than fair to criticize nitrate-filled sausages. Those aren’t healthy for anyone. As for how they are cooked, let’s criticize burning animal dung in the third world instead.

  6. Abigail…so the story goes that Rockefeller got the media to ALL call oil that to give it an air of “rarity” to further give him leverage in keeping prices high, etc and the name/lie stuck.

  7. Barbecue is only correctly done with charcoal. Preferably home made charcoal. Otherwise you’re just cooking outside. Which, if it isn’t barbecue, is kind of backwards and stupid.

  8. Propane for a quickie on the weekdays, & Charcoal on Weekends when I have a bit more time. Summer, winter spring & fall.

I would use diesel just to piss them off but…

  9. I don’t barbecue but I do grill and I use wood (cuz I live on 50 wooded acres and I enjoy the flavor).

At any rate, NPR can kiss my ass (not literally, I don’t know where their mouths have been).
