Trump further fueled concerns by gushing over his “friend” Larry [Ellison], saying: “I think he’s going to run CBS really well, and I think he’s making a good deal to buy it. I think he’s great.”

He also called [Skydance Media CEO and Ellison’s son] David “a fantastic young man.”

Given the president’s praise of the Ellises, outspoken Trump critics Colbert and Stewart could be on the chopping block if the takeover goes through.

Stewart recently called out the merger mess during an appearance on Bill Simmons’ podcast, saying: “What you’re seeing now is all must pay tribute to the kin.” More

  1. 99% of all employees at CBS are Leftists. There will be lots of job openings on the farms for them as Trump removes those ILLEGALS. The hotels will be another good place to look as ILLEGALS are removed from there as well. Those working there under Visas need to have those Visas revoked and shipped back where they came from.

  2. TV died for me long ago and late night faded out. I now watch re-runs in Black and White. I’d like to see it come back as it once was, but I doubt it will. The hands on the clock get us all.

  3. I can’t come up with anything I cared about on TV since Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show, and early Saturday Night Live. SNL was already waning by the early 90s then Johnny finally stepped down. There may have been things I watched but they were not sufficiently noteworthy at the time that I remember anything specific today.

TV has had no special attraction for me for well over 30 years.

p.s. OK, I just remembered enjoying the X Files, so make that “well over 20 years”.

  4. Both David Letterman and Conan O’Brien were hilarious in their “Late Night” jobs on NBC. Then they both left and became liberals, and it wasn’t funny any more and I stopped watching.

I saw a few shows on CBS / TBS, both lost their underdog luster and edge. I haven’t watched Conan in probably a decade.

  5. CBS is like Congress fillibustering to engratiate itself.

They may as well turn the cameras off and pantomime in the dark to no audience.
