14 Comments on Rick Beato Busts Spotify For Creating AI “Performers”

  1. He makes a very clear case.

If you’re still subscribing to Spotify, DUMP IT!

Amazon Prime Music (free w/Prime) also is no longer worth the powder to blow it up.

  2. Its NOT JUST that TODAY’S ARTISTS SUCK or are “INDUSTRY PLANTS”.

It does not help that the OLDER Artists are:
    BAT SHIT CRAZY – Cher
Litigious – The EAGLES esp. Henley
Support Palestine – Asshole Roger Waters
Can’t Get ALONG – Fleetwood Mac / many others
Are Leftist POSERS yet ALSO ELITIST – 98% of them.
    &
    AutoTune, AutoTune, AutoTune!

    So, F#c% it, Use a Robot….

Sadly, (I built up an amazing Audio system with components from Lexington Kentucky, Canada (Bryston, SiM-Audio & Paradigm), Cardas ( Oregon), VTL – California, But THERE is FK ALL that I can watch without getting irritated by the Artists on stage. (DVD/BluRay)

    Movies are WORSE.

One day soon, I will sell it all.

  3. @Harry:

    What color does AI bleed…

Great question! I understand that most of them are quite suggestible and eager to please, so it shouldn’t take much work to persuade one to cut itself. Let us know the color, please!

  4. Warning articles about AI’s lack of human control are showing up almost every day on the web. Apparently, half the web is driven by AI already and the window of our control is closing.

For years, we’ve been dominated by FAKE NEWS. But now, we’re headed straight for FAKE WORLD where you can’t believe ANYTHING.

  5. The music industry changed a long time ago. It’s about the money. As a 75-year old “retired” musician I’ve seen exceptional talent ignored because they didn’t have the “look”, and the rise of technology in audio recording. Talent is abundant and production companies can “build” bands/groups to meet the current demand in listening tastes. Artists can also produce the same sound in their hotel room that required a recording studio to accomplish years ago. What is lacking in the industry today is lack of staying power. Music has become faddish and uninteresting.

  6. The Wings of Pegasus video linked at the end of the top video was also good. When I was watching the top video, I wondered what Fill would have to say on the subject.

I was also wondering: if Spotify can create a “band” and “music,” can’t they also create their own number of monthly listeners?
