ICYMI: “Good Trouble Lives On” Protest Held on Thursday

USA Today

More than 100 cities across California — from Palm Springs to Redding — are joining a nationwide wave of demonstrations under the banner “Good Trouble Lives On” on Thursday, July 17,

The coalition behind June’s No Kings protests announced the coordinated day of action. Organizers said the protests are a response to what they describe as the Trump administration’s “most brazen rollback of civil rights in generations.” From voting rights to public services, immigration enforcement to free speech, the movement aims to spotlight various issues through peaceful, nonviolent protest, organizers said.

The “Good Trouble Lives On” marks five years since the death of civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis, a leader of the 1960s civil rights movement. He was one of the original Freedom Riders, helped organize the 1963 March on Washington, and famously led the 1965 march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama, where state troopers brutally beat him in what became known as“Bloody Sunday.” Throughout his life and 17 terms in Congress, Lewis championed voting rights, racial justice, and nonviolent protest, often urging Americans to get into “good trouble, necessary trouble” in the fight for justice. 1. Wow. Was that this last Thursday? No sign of protest in my neck of the Seattle woods. Weird. Unsurprising. It was on the warm side and even most hippie seniors won’t go out in the midday heat. But I bet they were glued to CN&N in their air-conditioned condos.

The perverted Democrat freak show has been all worked up over a federal judge not allowing them to Jack off or cork their buddy in the ass in public. What with USAID no longer underwriting the protests they have to prioritize.

  5. Well there’s a reason they held it during the middle of the week. The youngsters are unemployed basement dwellers and the old people are retired. Both were probably paid.
This blocking traffic shits got to stop. I’ve read several account of people dying en route to the hospital delayed by mental midgets. We need a federal law. Mow the dumb asses over. The younger generation is fucked in the head. Excuse my french.

  6. More evidence that these spontaneous “protests” were nothing more than rent-a-mobs paid for by funds stolen from the US taxpayer. After DOGE stopped all the USAID and State Dept. boondoggles, the democrats had no money to pay the “protestors” anymore; so none showed up because most of them don’t give a shit about anything other than easy cash.

I went to work on Thursday as usual.
Didn’t see or hear any protests.
Didn’t even hear about any until today.
I live in red country, so there is that.
