Radio shock jock Howard Stern’s show with SiriusXM will reportedly end its revolutionary run after 20 years.
Sources close to the radio program confirmed the cancelation to The Sun.
“Stern’s contract is up in the fall and while Sirius is planning to make him an offer, they don’t intend for him to take it,” an insider confirmed to the outlet.
Stern will likely cut a deal with Sirius to keep his catalogue.
“Sirius and Stern are never going to meet on the money he is going to want. It’s no longer worth the investment,” the source added. “But as far as him coming back to doing the show, there’s no way they can keep paying his salary.”
The source compared the cancelation to CBS ousting Stephen Colbert: too high a cost.
“After you saw what happened with Stephen Colbert, it’s like they just can’t afford to keep him going,” the source said. “If Sirius isn’t going to give Stern a good offer, I don’t think it would have anything to do with his ratings. It’s more likely everything to do with the political climate.” Read more

SHOWS WHERE WE ARE IN AMERICA
GOTTA HAND IT TO THE DUDE 👍
WHO?
I thought he died along time ago.
Could never understand the attraction to this moron in the first place. I will say this. A couple of us, including AA have estimated that the radical left is down to about 25% of the electorate. Just look at the shows that have been canceled. And at the same time college sororities are doing the Good Jeans dances in support of what’s here name with the big hooters. The bad news is the remaining 25% are true believers and we’ll probably need to kill them.
I think I saw a couple of 30 second clips of his show. He won’t be missed.
EXACTLY, JOE6
TEDIOUS!!
Brad — At least that 25% is losing chunks of its media bullhorn. That’s a good thing. No one in the media is going to want to be the last one defending those hardcore lunatics. The 2 Joys and Whoopi will be left with the hapless task of explaining Mandami.
Stern could get together with Keith Olbermann and do a podcast.
They could call it ‘Shaggy & Shithead’ 🙃
AA, have you seen the college sororities doing the “I have good jeans” line dance. They’re going viral It’s an F you in the face. And guess what. They’re not all white. They’ve gone to far this time and lost huge.
Diogenes Sarcastica
You;re killing me. And I’ve missed you. However the name of that podcast would be little bitch and littler bitch,
Good. He lost his f-ing mind. I never found him amusing anyway.
Coffee is for producers.
Go woke go broke
In all the years I’ve only ever listened to about 5 minutes of that perk pandering to immature teens. Hard to believe he had a following of grown adults!
jerk
Another Demwit with TDS bites the dust. The perverted 70s reject may not be done though. He’ll probably spin his wheels on his own sorry, sad low-rated podcast.
The asshole kept banning me from Twitter because I repeatedly called him Howard Sperm.
I think I had to make 15 or so accounts because he can’t take a joke.
~ 1990 an in-law recommend his show. About 15 seconds convinced me that I never need to listen to the infantile asshole again.
Howard Stern is the reason I dropped XM radio which was bought out by Sirius.
Sirius had a HUGE contract with Stern and to pay him they started all sorts of BS, ie reneging on the “no advertising” on their programming (a reason to pay for radio to begin with), they added a fee for music rights, and they demanded annual subscription contracts and made it near impossible to cancel a subscription.
If they want to run their business right, sure, I’d consider subscribing again; my vehicles are equipped and the sound was great and programming consistent when I drove cross country.
But my decades-long policy is that I don’t do business with assholes.
(If I could sue Spectrum, and Comcast, to oblivion, I would. For the good of Society.)
Sirius “Radio”. First of all I don’t pay for radio. Second, back in the early days of sat they used a bit rate of 32 kB/s which included all the swirly artifacts of a low bit rat MP3. I had a free trial of it in a new car that I bought back then and did not see the appeal of it. The audio quality stank. Now I see they have improved that by upping the bit rate and using AAC coding, but like I said at the beginning, I don’t pay for radio.
He’s past retirement age, he’s a billionaire, and he doesn’t care.
