This writer lives in the Milwaukee, WI area. Over the weekend, we had some pretty heavy rain that led to significant flooding in Southeast Wisconsin.
The situation was so severe that officials canceled the State Fair a day early; cars were submerged in water, and many homes were flooded.
The worst of the deluge came Saturday night.
On Sunday at 6:30 p.m., Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers finally got around to issuing a statement about the flooding…
…Gee. Milwaukee County — that deep blue Democrat strong hold?
What about [reliably Red] Waukesha , which was hit just as hard? More
Just look at how the Biden administration treated East Palestine, Ohio.
I believe Governor Evers is sending 100 copies of “Treading Water For Dummies” to Waukesha.
He couldn’t make it more obvious his policy is for republicans to drop dead.
I saw video from the fair with all the vendor and games all lit up and kids and people splashing around in the water.
I would have been worried about getting electrocuted
No real damage here in Brookfield where we got about 10 inches of rain that night. Across the street had a few inches of water in their basements.
Could someone send some of that rain to eastern Wash. state. We’re dry as a bone out here with far less than an inch of precipitation so far this summer.
My granddaughter graduated in June and is attending UW-Milwaukee later this month. Fortunately, she’s visiting her great-grandmother in Florida this week. She’s already made friends with another girl who lives there, so she’ll know which areas of the city to avoid.
Are we still to believe that ‘we’ are not at war in our own country??
richard, that would be all areas of that city.
