‘Experts’ Say The Climate Is Going to the Dogs

Red State

Now the Associated Press is highlighting the latest idiocy out of the National Academy of Sciences, which has determined that your pooch is contributing to the possible death of human society:

The top three individual actions that help the climate, including avoiding plane flights, choosing not to get a dog and using renewable electricity, were also the three that participants underestimated the most. Meanwhile, the lowest-impact actions were changing to more efficient appliances and swapping out light bulbs, recycling, and using less energy on washing clothes. Those were three of the top four overestimated actions in the report.

  1. That sounds like a co-opted Islamic doctrine mixed with another Satanic doctrine, Marxist climate change. These monsters hate dogs – “man’s best friend” in particular, and animals in general. God forbid they get to implement this evil.

  2. NAS – I looked up its funding. Its website says it was founded in the 1860’s as a nongovernmental organization. But it received $187 million from the government (looks like mostly the federal government) over the last 10 years. The website states that their total award amount is $74 million, whatever that amount refers to. The NAS website may be deliberately vague about where it gets its money.

$187 million over 10 years may be a pittance for a national organization, but their gov’t funding is being cut back severely this year. Good thing. I say let them rely on private funding or fold up shop and go home. We don’t need their lies about anything, especially when the taxpayers are paying for it.

  3. Mmm… my dog pack keeps me warm in winter. They also help out when my EBT withers up. Train up enough dogs and you could produce your own clean-ish electricity. I like the moslems commies angle mentioned by 99th squad leader.

  4. From the article: “Since trees absorb carbon dioxide, the most abundant greenhouse gas, cutting them to then raise cattle is a double whammy.”

Uh, ANY plant life absorbs carbon dioxide and releases oxygen. This includes grass!
