Cracker Barrel scraps new logo design, keeps ‘Old Timer’ after listening to customers

FOX-

Cracker Barrel said Tuesday that after listening to its customers, it will scrap its new logo and keep the “Old Timer” in place.

“We thank your guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel,” the restaurant chain said in a statement to FOX Business. “We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away and our ‘Old Timer’ will remain. At Cracker Barrel, it’s always been – and always will be – about serving up delicious food, warm welcomes, and the kind of country hospitality that feels like family.” more here

  1. Ha! Caved. Now watch them fire their dumb stunt CEO who came up with the dumb new logo. She ought to retire to the Bud Light Dumb Ideas Village.

    CB is not as cracked as I thought it was.

  2. Great! Now fire every woke Feminist and Queer CEO and board member. Strike DEI from your corporate policies. Keep the rainbow decor ONLY if this scripture is included in the signage;
    Genesis 13:17, “This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.”
    Cracker Barrel good start keeping the logo, but you still have work to do to regain a stellar reputation. Get to it. Your customers are watching.

  3. I also read that their food has taken a dive. “Someone” had declared that they can’t even make their own biscuits. Saw a video of someone banging one on the table top and it didn’t even crumble.

    Their corporate people need to all be fired and hire people who care about CB’s history of their origins and good food for reasonable prices.

  4. I pretty much eat proteins and greens and no carbs. Not by design. That’s just where my tastes have evolved. I just pulled up their “new” menu and I’ll never dine there. Now when I was younger I’d be a frequent customer. That’s just not me anymore

  5. “What is done cannot be undone” I personally couldn’t give a flying fuck about CB. I did, unfortunately, have to eat there a couple of times when we relocated to TX and had limited eating choices. Food was crap and I doubt it has improved regardless of “new logo” or “old logo”. They made their bed.

  6. This just shows for certain the management is MBAs with NO SOULS. They are a frickin’ weathervane and deserve to be struck by lightning and blown off the roof. Lame. Disgraceful. Say whatever, do whatever, no matter, go along to get along. No principles -obviously, from the start- and no education in skoo about heart.

    I worked many years at a very good company until it was sold. This was inevitable as it was owned by an investor group, however they hung on to it (for over 20 years) as we were doing so well. Eventually they did sell it and the new ownership appointed a fat female (with a history of failures) as CEO and off to the Liberal races we went. After a couple years the company was over-bloated with over 50 MBA VPs! The company turned into a complete Clusterfuk and got sold. It is still floundering without a coherent direction.

  8. The whole escapade reminds of the movie “Big”. The Tom Hanks character, a kid in a man’s body, finds a job with a NYC Toy Company. He runs across the CEO, a good CEO, in the toy store Schwartz. They start to talk and the CEO mentions “marketing”. The Hanks character asks, “What’s marketing?”. The CEO says, “exactly”. Later, they do the famous duet on a piano keyboard laid on the floor.
