The FBI deployed nearly 300 plainclothes agents to the US Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot, in an effort that became so chaotic it caused an internal schism within the agency that led many rank-and-file at the bureau that core competencies had been lost to “wokeness,” and that employees had become “pawns in a political war,” according to an after-action report hidden from the public for over four years until it was obtained by Just the News.
Anonymous complaints were sent to the after-action team by scores of FBI agents and other personnel – many from the bureau’s premier Washington field office (WFO) – detailing how agents were sent into a dangerous situation without proper safety equipment or even the ability to identify themselves as armed officers to other police agencies.
Most common among the complaints was that under former directors Chris Wray and just-indicted James Comey, the bureau had become infected with political bias and liberal ideology that treated the Trump-supporting Jan. 6 protesters much differently from Black Lives Matter rioters from the summer of 2020. It appears the greatest concerns of anonymous FBI Agents; they participated in the illegal politization of the FBI, weren’t properly trained and didn’t have the appropriate gear for Riot Control.
Not one word of the Numbers of Paid Informants and select Agents tasked with agitating and directing the crown to enter the Halls of Congress.
After 4+ years the public has seen just the tip of the FBI’s weaponization iceberg, the full directive approving the action, the official reports and the extensive cover-up.
Accountability, Integrity, Justice? Not at the FBI.

@General Malaise — Maybe so, but at some point someone has to declare that the FBI is rotten to the core. That MUST happen in order to abolish or completely rebuild it. And it’s my contention that “some point” is in the past.
But the “rank and file” whined, while cashing the checks. Whined, hard. For realz.
Uncle Al – I couldn’t agree more. But has anyone estimated how many lawyers, investigators and prosecutors will be needed in the DOJ to actually prosecute the dozens of potential cases? And all in one Presidential term lest a Democrat win in 2028?

Congress doesn’t appear interested in helping because they are STILL against Trump’s ‘agenda.’ They’re not on board. It’s the same old game of talking out of both sides your mouth at once.
