  1. Talk about a sweetheart deal.
I suspect there were some political deals for this light sentence.

3 years of confinement in a minimum-security federal country club.
And, oh my goodness, after that he’s ordered to home confinement for 6 months. That’s Cruel and Unusual Punishment to deter future crime!!!

He gambled away the stolen taxpayer funds, which will never be repaid.

Sign me up for $24 mil, I’m packing my bag.

  2. $24 million is the median lifetime earnings of about twenty U.S. workers. That is the economic value of what Harold Dotson (degenerate) stole. Waterboard him nineteen times, then bind him and bury him up to his neck in a beach at low tide. Later catch the critters that will have eaten him. Cook said critters and use the resultant food to feed prison inmates.

  3. Part of sentencing and judgement is for him to repay over $24M. Good luck collecting that. Sounds like the casinos got most of it. He took a gamble and lost that bet. I wonder why they don’t say much about his co-conspirators.

I’m not discouraged by his light prison sentence. Get him back to his job so he can repay what he stole, even if it’s pennies on the dollar.
