A massive and sudden blizzard on Mount Everest’s Tibetan slopes trapped nearly 1,000 hikers in remote camps during China’s National Day holiday weekend, according to state media reports.
Reuters and Jimu news reported Sunday that at least 350 people have so far reached safety, while contact has been made with several hundred others still stranded in the snowbound region.
The storm struck Friday, dumping heavy snow and rain across the Himalayas, reports said. More

Probably all Chinese tourists. Without looking, I’ll say that the backside of Everest is basically a bus ride to where it gets steep.
Everest would be a great place to use humanoid robots. They could bring down bodies and garbage. That way no humans would be put in danger.
These adventurous types keep betting that their luck won’t run out. If it does then regular folks have to try to bail them out at huge costs. “We don’t GAF about risks…it’s fame we’re after”.

I’ll gladly lend a hand to anyone in need if I can, but I also kinda feel that if you were climbing Mt. Everest in a blizzard, you knew what you were getting into and you’re on your own.
