The Trump administration fired more than 4,000 federal workers Friday as the partial government shutdown stretched into its tenth day.

A Justice Department court filing disclosed the layoffs. The cuts hit at least seven Cabinet agencies. Federal employee unions discovered the numbers through their lawsuit against the administration.   1. This is but a mere glimpse of the over-bearing, unnecessary and un-wanted government employees that perpetuate the stealth of American tax dollars where the only thing they provide in return is their address for receiving a payroll check.

  4. Kennedy created the government employee unions via executive fiat. Trump should repeal that executive order, end government employee collective bargaining against the taxpayer. It would be simple to do, but much wailing and gnashing of teeth would surely follow. I’ll make popcorn.
