President Donald Trump on Wednesday confirmed he had authorized CIA action in Venezuela, and indicated his administration is exploring land strikes inside the South American country.

Trump said he could not give more information on the covert CIA operations, which were first reported by the New York Times, but said he authorized them because of the flow of migrants and drugs from the country. More

  1. I’m against this type of international meddling on principle.

    Drug interdiction in international waters is one thing (although I prefer grabbing them in US waters so we can confirm they were actually transporting drugs and not hellfiring a pleasure yacht) but this smacks too much of regime change, and the CIA is terrible at doing this.

    I don’t trust anything the CIA tells me, my government has lied to me too many times.
