The Small Business Administration said Monday it opened an investigation into ATI Government Solutions and the Susanville Indian Rancheria after an undercover video alleged the firms exploited SBA’s 8(a) program to win federal work.

We deal with this set aside crap daily. We’re white so NO set asides for us. My favorites is the Disabled Vet set aside. If they win a contract they place an order with the guys that usually make it. So they increase the price to the tax payed by 10 to 15% and don’t do shit. I’m all for supporting our vets but it would be cheaper just sending them money.
By the way this is all administered by the DLA. I would imagine that’s where the thievery took place.
They have a brand new “Pacific Island Asian” set aside. They have a bad habit of putting these set asides on the most complicated jobs and when it crashes and burns they’ll pull the set aside off so the can finally get delivery. stupid people.

…our MRO guy has to go to “minority contractor fairs”, and he says all of them are quite smug and very uninterested in negotiating, since they KNOW you are there because the Fererales insist.
We learned to not trust them with super critical items after they destroyed half our MIGs, but you have to give them a LOT of your business just because there’s a Black face on their board, or you get no business yourself. Price and quality are irrelevant, and you frequently have to make up for them giving you garbage, delivering late, and having non-existant customer service.
And it aint just us.
Today I was listening to the radio about Cincinnati contracting for a multimillion dollar stadium renovation for the local, sucky, sportsball team, all at taxpayer expense natch. They had no interest in going with the folks who built the thing even though they are still around, preferring Blackface businesses and with a “YT need not apply” mentality, even to the extent that a very anti-White racist County Commissioner boasts about how the contractors THIS time dont LOOK like they did when they built it.
Just look at this openly discriminatory contracting practice. They arent shy about it…
