Anonymous Donor to the Troops Identified

Fox News

The anonymous donor who gave $130 million to the Pentagon to pay troops during the government shutdown has been identified as Timothy Mellon, a reclusive billionaire and a major financial backer of President Donald Trump, according to a report.

Trump announced the donation on Thursday, but declined to reveal the donor’s identity, only describing him as a “patriot” and a friend. The president again refused to name the person on Friday while talking to reporters aboard Air Force One shortly after departing Washington for Asia, calling the donor “a great American citizen” and a “substantial man.”

“He doesn’t want publicity,” Trump said on Friday. “He prefer that his name not be mentioned, which is pretty unusual in the world I come from, and in the world of politics, you want your name mentioned.” More

  1. “But the two people familiar with the matter told The New York Times that the man is Mellon, a wealthy banking heir and railroad magnate.”

    And if those 2 people are government employees, they should be fired immediately. This was a huge breach of trust; they should pay the price.

    And I’m not surprised that benefactors’ craving anonymity is so foreign to the president. He should crack open his Bible more often.

  2. Rich,

    It sure doesn’t help that Trump’s spiritual adviser in the White House is a woman pastor who is telling people that they need to pay $1,300 (I think that was the amount) to receive a blessing from God.

    I don’t think she will like what God will have to say to her at her judgement.

  3. ^^^ yep, Paula White is a fraud.

    And here is one of the saddest things you will read today;

    Speaking to press aboard Air Force One on Sunday, Oct. 12, the president said, “I’m not sure I’m going to be able to make heaven, but I’ve made life a lot better for a lot of people”

    There are probably a couple thousand prominent evangelicals who would gladly sit him down and open that road to heaven for him. Salvation is free, you just have to humble yourself, something he still struggles with.

    While a bit odd, I’ll reserve comment as his statement could easily be take regarding life before accepting Christ, or a general statement that he is not “worthy” (none are worthy, it is a gift) but tries to do good.

    I hope Trump has accepted Christ. I thought just doing the right thing was enough in my earlier years, he is definitely arrogant which fuels him to try to do great things for our country, but even he will have to answer to the greater power.

    There can be absolutely no question regarding the malevolent pricks at the NYT motivation. They are the type that would turn in their own mother to Stalin’s KBG to advance their standing among their comrades. They have no honor whatsoever. None. We only have to see how he fits into this week’s “current thing” to know why they pulled this stunt.
