Mamdani Takes Manhattan

cbs news

Zohran Mamdani will be New York City’s 111th mayor, CBS News projects, capping a closely watched campaign in which the little-known state assemblyman energized voters with his focus on making America’s largest city more affordable…

…Mamdani’s message centered around the cost of living, energizing a coalition of young and progressive voters, even as critics questioned his lack of experience and raised concerns about his stance on Israel. He pledged to freeze rents on rent-stabilized apartments and raise taxes on the wealthy to pay for a host of new services, like free buses and city-run grocery stores.

When he assumes office, Mamdani will make history as the city’s first Muslim mayor. At 34, he’ll also be one of the city’s youngest mayors, but not the youngest ever: That distinction belongs to Hugh J. Grant, who was 31 when he was elected to his first term in 1889. More

  1. Goodbye NYC, you’re about to experience the biggest clusterfuck of all clusterfucks ever experienced by electing this commie/muzzie bastard as your new mayor. Don’t say you weren’t warned and paid no attention to just how bad you’re about to be reamed by this bastard. And if you’re Jewish you better flee now before the democraps under Mamdani’s evil leadership decide to pull another Kristalnacht just like the Nazi’s did in Germany before World war 2.

  2. Mandani has one of two ways to go.
He follows thru on his campaign promises and sinks NYC.
He doesn’t do what he said he would, and he gets a lot of people pissed at hi.
Either way, conservatives will try to flee to more friendly states.

  3. NYC is 34% foreigners. That’s who won it for him. That and the people who are democrats first and Jews second. Plus he won the black and Hispanic vote from the ones who live off the free stuff they get. I visited NYC for a week in 1968. I’d never go near there again.

  4. But is anyone surprised, though?
Nobody in the states the commies and muslims took demanded the voting machines, tabulators, mail in balloting, drop boxes, online voting and stuff be ended. So there you go.

  5. So long, farewell, NYC. Don’t say ya weren’t warned.
I won’t come to yer funeral, I don’t think I could stand to get that close to a rotting corpse.
Time for Gov Abbott to put his “joke” into effect, and impose a 100% tariff on anyone moving from NY(C) to Texas. Make it happen, Gov!!

  6. It was HL Mencken who said “Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”

NYC won’t be the first American city with a socialist mayor. Milwaukee elected three of them in the last century and look how well that worked out for them.

on a scale of 100 where the higher score is the saftest city, Milwaukee scores a whapping 4. Meaning 96% of the rest of the cities in this great country are safer than Milwaukee

  7. “The people get the government they deserve”
    “This won’t end well.”
“I’ve got a bad feeling about this.”
    “They deserve what they get.”
    “Don’t say you weren’t warned.”
    (etc.)

We’re gonna need new expressions for this. (Mine are unprintable.)
