Daniels, in my opinion, was an extremely underrated actor. His big problem is he’s not that smart and he bought in to many of the roles he played. Case in point.
He did make a very good Colonel Joshua Lawrence Chamberlin of the 20th Maine Division in the civil war movie Gettysburg; I’ll give him credit for that.
