Kind of like how the Indians and the Chinese make paper masks that some people are still wearing.
🤢
At least you can usually tell if there’s any rat in the cookies. It’s not like samosas or ramen.🙄🙄🙄
Does anyone else have cookie recipes they’d like to share? lol
Why are you buying cookies from the store?
Most women/mothers know this fact; poll anyone about their favorite Christmas memories growing up and many/most will fondly reminisce about their mom’s cookies and other baked goods.
My mom, passed 2 years ago, was an excellent cook (single mom, worked her ass off, but still had time to feed me properly) and her Christmas cookies were legendary. She would buy the Pillsbury Favorite Christmas recipe book every year, always making something new but never forgetting her regulars.
Money, presents, and decorations were always on the minimalist side………but Christmas cookies made up for all of that.
@MJA — I think that the simpler the recipe the better. For cookies, that means Scottish shortbread. Nothing but butter, sugar, and flour.
@Zonga posted her recipe a long time ago. Maybe she’ll repost if we ask nicely! 😁😁😁
Fucking street shitters!
Ginger snaps!
If the grand kids are over, the first batch is nearly gone before they cool. If you want a surplus for gatherings/parties, you have to make many batches!
(They’re just like Scottish shortbread with butter, sugar, and flour, but also with brown sugar, molasses, egg, ginger, clove, cinnamon, baking soda and salt!)
I live in India or as some pronounce it,Toronto.
My favorite growing up:
No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies
1 ¾ cups white sugar
½ cup butter
½ cup milk
4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup peanut butter
3 cups quick-cooking oats
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
waxed paper
-Combine sugar, butter, milk, and cocoa in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring often. Boil for exactly 1 ½ minutes.
-Remove from heat, and stir in peanut butter.
-Add oats and vanilla; stir until well combined.
-Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.
-Let cool until hardened.
Christmas is not complete without these…Pizelles…https://www.nonnabox.com/authentic-italian-pizzelle-recipe/
My dad buys these “Cookies”.
I’m going to show him the video Tonight before Dinner.
My family is more “Married with children” than “leave it to Beaver”
I’m actually quite relieved by the video.
There are a lot of “Lefties” making things with their own Bodily Yeasts and bacterial Cultures these days.
(search it, it’s out there)
I’ve eaten worse!
I bought a small bag of those orange slices candies at Dollar General a while back. I noticed they tasted different. They were made in Pakistan. I tossed them.
