A Different Sort of Painting for the Gallery

I like that the community is reaching out for more varied type projects. Jethro had the “homescape” project, and now we present Conservative Cowgirl’s project – The Farmscape.

This is a property near and dear to her heart. It will be a gift for someone special. I hope the recipient enjoys. I hope you enjoy.

I hope it inspires others to commission.

  1. Very Normal Rockwell. Idyllic life. No weeds or dirt. Must have a grounds person. And no neighbors! Can we visit?

(I just spent three hours in the dirt so I’m momentarily happy.)

  2. From a distance, those four trees in the front yard look like Sequoias. She’ll be sorry they were planted. Personal experience there letting them get YUGE! And then taking them out is a monsterous job, including the stumps and roots.

  3. @Genera Malaise–

You are right about sequoias being a problem. But I don’t think those are sequoias. When sequoias get that tall, they have a large section of bare trunk at the bottom. A thick section of trunk. A difficult section of trunk to cut through and haul away. Don’t ask me how I know.

  4. I am thrilled with this painting! The photo doesn’t do it justice. It’s my son and his wife’s home and I will bring it to them for their wedding anniversary (and the anniversary of buying the farm!)this summer. They are going to grow their own hay for their horses and he asked me to come and teach them to grow a vegetable garden. With six horses, they have all the fertilizer they will need. ๐Ÿ˜ (they bought one more horse since you shipped the painting, Fur. Lol!)

@Illust8r, I need to build a mother-in-law cottage so I can do just that! Plus, find some riding trails and take the horses on adventures. I can’t wait to go there!
    AntiQ, not Kentucky…

  5. As much as I dig the critters I love the landscapes.

There was one did some time back of someone’s dad fishing on a lake. (sorry I cannot remember who that was right now).

    A twofer BFH.

And I LOVE farm structures and old barns.
