A Message To His HOA

I’m running the risk of inciting bad language on our holiest of days with this one—>

  1. I like this guy’s style.

But I find it amusing that the HOA is OK with the building to the right of him, with what looks to be a couple heat pump units and a satellite dish, that looks like a pile of trash tossed out.

10 bucks sez his trash cans look better.

  2. …this is why I won’t live where there’s an HOA…its bad enough the Government tells me what I can do on MY property, so I’m not ABOUT to let my NEIGHBORS control MY property, TOO…

…also, these HOAs end up getting ruled by the biggest Nazi on the block with the most time on her hands. Like the Cuban or Soviet systems, but with nicer lawns. No thanks, I’ll decide for myself when the flower beds need mulching, now go back on YOUR side of the street and have a nice day…

  3. I’m soon having a tree taken out in my front yard. I am contemplating leaving the stump and having my chainsaw wood-carving friend shape it into something “creative” (the bird, or a phallus). All my neighbors are Mormon.

  4. I listened this morning to an interview of Michael Kanis about his book, “The Hidden Message of the Great Seal” (of the United States). In it — and the Great Seal — is the message of the 13 Virtues which, as it happens, were based on the writings of Benjamin Franklin’s “Thirteen Virtues.”

    They are:

Temperance. Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation.
Silence. Speak not but what may benefit others or yourself; avoid trifling conversation.
Order. Let all your things have their places; let each part of your business have its time.
Resolution. Resolve to perform what you ought; perform without fail what you resolve.
Frugality. Make no expense but to do good to others or yourself; i.e., waste nothing.
Industry. Lose no time; be always employ’d in something useful; cut off all unnecessary actions.
Sincerity. Use no hurtful deceit; think innocently and justly, and, if you speak, speak accordingly.
Justice. Wrong none by doing injuries, or omitting the benefits that are your duty.
Moderation. Avoid extremes; forbear resenting injuries so much as you think they deserve.
Cleanliness. Tolerate no uncleanliness in body, cloaths, or habitation.
Tranquillity. Be not disturbed at trifles, or at accidents common or unavoidable.
Chastity. Rarely use venery but for health or offspring, never to dullness, weakness, or the injury of your own or another’s peace or reputation.
    Humility. Imitate Jesus and Socrates.

Happy Easter to our family at IOTWReport.com.

That song came out when I was 15. Me and my friends had no clue what it was about, but we liked it, thought it was pretty cool, or “neat”. Parents were appalled.

I lived near Toronto, far away from the So. Calif, surf scene, so of course did not understand it. None of us at that time knew about “flipping the bird” either.
