A Michigan Prosecutor’s Vindictive Overreach to Destroy the Life of a Young Conservative

Gateway Pundit-

Lucas Gerhard is a 21-year-old man. Instead of celebrating his graduation from Lake Superior State University in Sault St. Marie, MI, in the criminal justice field and looking for a job in law enforcement, Lucas is locked down in his father’s home, wearing an ankle bracelet.

Lucas’s father explained: “The so-called ‘contacts’ were made as a result of more anonymous calls to LSSU public safety, and an incident where Lucas’s car was vandalized and his rear window smashed out! Not a single one of those was what can be considered a negative or derogatory incident.  An example of one incident where a call was made was when Lucas was in his OCSO cadet uniform and carrying a bag of police training gear across campus to his communications class where he was giving a speech in law enforcement methods. The call was made as soon as he exited his dorm. The police were apparently told by the caller that they felt threatened by seeing Lucas when they saw him carrying riot gear. Note that LSSU is a school where a large majority of students are Criminal Justice majors! But Sault St. Marie police officers actually responded and pulled Lucas out of the classroom WHILE HE WAS GIVING HIS SPEECH to question him. His professor came out and told the officers that Lucas’s speech was pre-approved as well as the props he brought. The report noted that his explanation was accepted and no further action taken. I might add that every other time something like this happened, the result was the same. No action taken, either from Law Enforcement nor the College. The level of harassment Lucas endured there was astonishing.”

According to his father, one of the female liberal students who reported his Snap Chat image to local police frequently argued with Lucas over his conservative views, most recently about her belief that Columbus Day should be renamed Indigenous People’s Day. Lucas, who was growing tired of her constant badgering, blocked her on his social media accounts. She took a photo of his Snap Chat to friends with her phone and used it as “evidence” that his private chat to his friends was somehow indicative of a threat.

He spent nearly 3 months in jail and is currently under house arrest where he is not allowed to use the internet.

He is facing a possible 20 years in prison.

All because one liberal crunt made the claim that he made terrorist threats against her, using a screengrab she took from a closed Snapchat discussion with others where he made a reference to “melting snow.”

How can this bitch live with herself?

  1. I’d be ok with it if she somehow, stopped living. Maybe the SMOD can land on her instead of pelosi. Lightning strikes and gas station sushi are also acceptable means for her to cease existing.

  3. Northern/Lower and UP Michigan is definitely snowflake country and I don’t mean the weather. Those who live in the smaller towns and woods are OK but the cities and larger towns are uber liberal. Full of pasty white, guilt laden wannabe Canadians, probably because it’s all tourist industry up there (for good reason, it’s beautiful). Last summer I spent some time up there and I’ve never seen so many mask Nazis and Covid Karens. Hopefully, with the southern industrial part of the state we can still manage a Republican governor in 2022.

  4. There are two justice systems in our country.
If you are Conservative/Republican, it doesn’t take much to land in jail.
If you are Leftist/Democrat, not even outright murder guarantees jail time.

  5. This fate awaits all patriots as investigating Jan 6 is more important that investigating the origins of Wu Flu.

Releasing GITMO terrorists but keeping Jan 6 detainees in isolation in or nations capital.

Starting to see a pattern yet? They are coming for us, IOTW patriots will go down fighting but they are coming.

Unless something drastic occurs soon we will be a commie nation in 10 years.

And there you have it. A psychobitch who can’t let anything go. Like an emotionally deranged jealous ex.

  7. This is appalling.

But I have to point something out.

A common theme with nearly everyone who gets in politically-motivated trouble this way, from the Jan 6 BS arrests to something like this case, is: yammering on social media.

Tell your kids to just not do it. Social media is poison. People say the stupidest things and post pics of themselves and their thoughts that they really shouldn’t. It’s not private and it’s permanent. Like forever.

While I’m at it, texting is writing too.

Writing on the internet is not akin to sitting around joking with your friends in your living room. Posting and texting is not akin to talking, even over the NSA-monitored phones. Things can and will be “taken wrong” by interlopers with bad intentions.

Sending a picture of a firearm (or a “sexy picture” or their location, or their doings, and all the rest of the assumed “harmless” crap that people thoughtlessly post, private information) is neither wise nor necessary.

There is no such thing as “private” when you are placing your words and pictures on someone else’s computers and devices. There is no such thing as deleting, either; in one way or another it’s permanent. Things a 20-year-old posts can come back to haunt years later. Not just from a job standpoint, but the seemingly “innocuous” pics and yakking, e.g. about the current girlfriend (will the wife and kids love this 20 years from now?)

“Should” this stuff be allowed as free speech? That’s not the point I’m addressing. He didn’t write a well-thought-out opinion article somewhere. Standing on principles and suffering for them when the message was of so little value to begin with is just not smart.

I’m not blaming this kid. I’m trying to get out a message that youngsters need to be educated: do not put permanent stuff on other people’s computers, phones, systems that you would not want to see on the front page of the NYTimes.

  8. Couldn’t agree more, Janitor. Its like that cop a few weeks ago that posted his cute little Lebron retort on line, while on duty in uniform in a marked police vehicle. Was it wrong to suspend him? Probably, but he should have known better.

When you place stuff out on the ether, it is there for the whole world to see, and that world is made up of malicious petty closed minded inbreds who want nothing more than to cause harm and cancel anyone (white males especially) who don’t march to their jackbooted tune.

Considering the sheeple that populate most police departments and the SJW D.A.s that are looking to bag a scalp of an unsuspecting unwoke, this kid walked right into their trap.

  9. The libtard’s dying words – to a man, woman, & an “it” – will be, “WHUHHH?!?!?” 😳

I just hope I live long enough see & hear most of them utter it, from the end of an executioner’s rope. 😈
