More than a million Wisconsinites have already cast absentee ballots in the November election, according to data released by the state Wednesday.
That’s equal to about 35% of the state’s entire presidential turnout in 2016.
And while those ballots have been overwhelmingly cast by mail, the start of in-person early voting on Tuesday is boosting those totals as well.
As of Wednesday morning, almost 80,000 Wisconsinites had voted early at the polls.

Dems are allegedly up by 5 points in WI right now. HOWEVER, 26% of repubs haven’t returned their ballot yet, compared to only 8% dems. WI will likely be red if early numbers mean anything.
