It was a dark and stormy winters night when a scotsman decided to shove whittled hollow branches into a bloated sheep carcass and try to make music with it….

My god.
I struggle to get through three bars of “Amazing Grace” on my little chamber pipes, and here she is blasting out high-speed riffs on full-on Highland parade pipes while dancing around a stage in heely little boots and a miniskirted kilt with the legs to hold it up! What a set of lungs this gal has, the bag only helps you so much, at some point you have to reinflate it…

…only problem is, the Romans probably brought them, Julius Caesar himself is said to have used them to scare the horses of the Britons and the Scots liked the idea…

The Battlefield Band does an excellent cover of Bad Moon Rising by Creedence Clearwater Revival with lots of bagpipes blaring away. I like it better than the original but I’m also a huge fan of Celtic music.
….I think it was Kcir here that defined Canadian geese as “Shitting Bagpipes”…

Bii Haley does a rousing version of a Robert Burns song in an obscure Biil Haley song called Rock Lomond with a heavily Celtic influence to it. It’s from his album called Rockin’ The Joint. It’s one of my favorite Bill Haley songs that never got a lot of airplay back in the day.

Billy Powell was a roadie until Ronnie Van Zant heard him playing Free Bird on piano during a break. The rest is history.

Very rarely would I call for more bagpipe, but this was exceptional.

In the hollowed words of Tommy Boy……That was awesome!

That was great.
Looks like a fun festival to go to.
Us students tried to make Freebird our prom theme but the committee was having nothing to do with it back in the late ’70’s.
I remember at every concert someone would yell, “play Freebird!”.

Bagpipes couldn’t make that song worse. There are about a dozen songs that will make me change the station. Freebird is one of them, so is Hotel California
2
Too much. Too early.
Nonetheless: impressive indeed.
Back in the day a Freebird was making a fist with a raised middle finger!

Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald is like that for me.
I was a young man that played foosball very well back then. Could win drinks all night from just one quarter to start playing. Those quick reflexes came in handy.
Always just a split second to hit the off button or channel change button. That saved many a radio from being destroyed because of that song.
