Those were the good ole days of TV. We didn’t know what a queer was until the 7th grade, and even then we didn’t know the extent of what queer meant. Those were innocent days, not any more! Now we know way too much and it’s sickening.
A spade a spade. I’m offended
I always thought Elaine Joyce was one of the hottest ladies in
Hollywood.
Why would they be horrible? What’s so wrong with being queer? After all, it’s in the acronym LGBTQ…although the “Q”, by some, has been changed to “questioning”. But for now, the term queer is still acceptable in that community.
And yet Charles Nelson Reilly was as queer as a three dollar bill (as my mama used to say).
Yup, felching wasn’t a word yet either.
Nor was gay, in this context.
Technically all six were a matches.
Holy Homo Batman!
Now that this idea is planted – I will skip the next Batman movie, just as I’ve never watched Brokeback Mountain. Marvel has already trashed many other super heroes. The Batman is next.
Blink,
Bateman is D.C! NOY Marvel.
Bat,an is D.C. Comics, NOT Marvel.
Damn spellcheck on both of those.
Now that was funny. It’s mighty ironic that queer (and gay) both don’t mean what they used to mean anymore. They have become meaningless and useless words except to signify sexual orientation and to confuse people who don’t know better. Words mean things, people and the further the left confuses the language the more it destroys our culture. Which is why I watch virtually little or no TV anymore or patronize almost all movies with rare exceptions.
Interesting how you can see the culture shift in Hollywood, from never mentioning the behavior yet insinuating it at every opportunity to cracking various jokes about homosexuality in jest that isn’t meant to be personally hurtful to now either promote the behavior at every turn or face the wrath of the perpetually offended and the media that thrives on the contrived controversy.
Growing up in the 70’s was big fun, and this show was always a treat. Great memories: no helmets on your bike, riding in the back of the pickup, swimmin in the ‘crick’, rounding up the cows on my Honda 50. People today don’t know what fun is.
Let it all hang out, baby. Good times. I think even Predident Carter would have said “queers”.
I’m surprised they haven’t been retroactively hounded down, destroyed and sued for calling a spade a spade.
Richard Dawson answers “Married” and gets a huge laugh…because the idea of two guys getting married was so absurd 40 years ago.
All I can say is Stand By Your Man, Tammy Wynette: Guinness Advert
