AARP Royalty Scam May Be Coming To An End

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has decided to allow a case suing AARP for accepting commissions on the sale of insurance when it is not a licensed insurer in the state of California. AARP is paid what they claim is a “royalty” by UnitedHealth, who has also been named in the suit, but in reality is a commission from the insurance company.

This is not the first case going after AARP for this deceptive practice. I found past lawsuits filed in Texas and  New York.

  1. Hey! Wait a minute. If a commission is a commission, even when the both names on the check call it a royalty, then what’s a campaign contribution?

  2. Like I’ve said before I finally got them to quit annoying me by shredding their applications and putting the confetti remains back into their pre paid return envelopes and sending it back to them. After 2-3 times of doing this they figured it out that I wasn’t interested in what they were peddling and they haven’t contacted me since.
