ABC has canceled “Match Game,” hosted by Alec Baldwin, but the network denies the show’s cancellation was in relation to the actor’s fatal shooting last year.
Baldwin has been embroiled in controversy, including a wrongful death lawsuit, after he shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of “Rust.”
Variety reported that “ABC’s decision to cancel ‘Match Game’ is not related to that incident.”
The show has not produced episodes since 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Only two episodes of the program aired during 2021, which were filmed the previous year. more
I watched an episode. Baldwin aside, it just doesn’t compare to the classic. Not very funny.

On almost every radio break I hear that asshole promoting his podcast “Here’s the thing”.

Just the fact that it is Alec Baldwin should have been enough to get him fired. They shouldn’t need to use the shooting as an excuse.
