Daily Wire: California police arrested 14 protesters after they chained themselves to the fence of Gov. Gavin Newsom’s home calling for him to release “all” prisoners.
Dozens of protesters gathered outside of Newsom’s property in Fair Oaks on Monday morning to push for the mass release of inmates because of the pandemic, as well as to stop state law enforcement from working with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to The Sacramento Bee.
“Gov. Newsom, you are responsible for the COVID crisis that’s happening in prisons and jails,” one demonstrator said. “You must act now to save lives.”
A group of protesters carrying a sign that read “Your actions save lives. Free them all” chained themselves together with others chained to Newsom’s gate. Police arrested and charged those chained together with trespass, unlawful assembly, and failure to disperse after a warning.
Newsom reacted to the protest outside his home in a press conference later in the day. more
I demand they stop putting warning labels on machinery, and quit passing laws to protect people who are too stupid to live from themselves.

COVID is hollow pretext.
The goal of this effort is no different than that of anything else that the progressive movement advocates for. If convicted criminals are behind bars separated from innocents, the innocents are not as likely to have to deal with suffering, misery and death brought on by contact with them.
There is not one iota of compassion in those who are advocating this.
Extortion only grows larger if allowed to. What will they demand the next time around??
Releasing all prisoners is pure Marxist talk, designed to inflict pain and punishment upon law abiding people while undermining and further weakening our country.
Like de-funding the police, it will (and has), make life much more difficult for us.
Anyone willing to have a leg cut off should be released after surgery. Let’s see whose serious.
…I notice that arrests happen a LOT sooner when the protests are on the property of the ruling class, but I’m sure that’s just a coincidence…
