Santa Fe New Mexican
The search for treasure might be over, but the fight sure isn’t.
Forrest Fenn, an 89-year-old Santa Fe author and artifacts dealer, said his treasure chest hidden in the Rocky Mountains in 2010 was found last week.
“It’s true,” Fenn told The New Mexican in a phone call Sunday, adding that the finder of his chest located the valuable goods “a few days ago.” More
Fenn wouldn’t say where the treasure was found or who found it.
Let me guess the discoverer…it was Brian Williams?
Jerry Rivers?
Nice that it was found while he was still around to enjoy the news.
Sad that some people feel he owes them something. Not surprised.
Yeah!
That was a masterful treasure story.
The finder deserves it
Forrest Fenn deserves the joy of finding another adventurer out there
Everybody else is number 2 or lower
Darn it! Here I was about to start looking, I need something to finance my retirement.
I just did an 800 mile round trip to Colorado last Saturday. I left at 8 am and got home about 4:30 am Sunday…..I bought 3 extra sticks of beef jerky when I fueled up in Limon….would I have bought 3 extra sticks of jerky if I hadn’t found it?….I’ll let you decide….
My niece spent a lot of time looking for it when she was in college out in Colorado. She learned to appreciate nature.
Whenever there is a large sum of money at stake, you can be sure con men and attorneys (I repeat myself) aren’t too far away.
Anonymity by the discoverer is smart. For several reasons.
willysgoatgruff,
There is a Limon map
Some sunny day
Upon a den perched
Paw overwatch
*This is one tall, special order
Remember that when 2010
Bullshit
I went through Limon twice that day…
Once about 1 pm and once about 1 am…
I didn’t buy any jerky the first time yet bought some the second time…
The Comfort Inn was calling me to sleep…
I soldiered forth to Colby…
150 miles later I slept in my own bed….
The dogs were happy and had beef jerky breath….
Only one person gets the treasure???
This calls for a demonstration (with looting and burning).
