Workers are largely following mandates to embrace AI in the office, but few are seeing it create real value. According to the Harvard Business Review, the culprit is “workslop,” AI-generated documents that look sharp but are filled with low quality information. More
Otherwise known as garbage.
Garbage in, garbage out.
My company has bought into this shit. Useless, and in the end, the customer suffers.
Truth is, AI either makes solving problems nore difficult or it makes you look like a fool.
Anything produced by AI needs to be verified, which requires more time and effort than just creating it yourself.
AI is a demonic combination of HAL 9000 from 2001, Marvin the paranoid android from Hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy, Daleks and Cybermen from Dr. Who and the Borg from Star Trek the next generation.
HR Depts are using AI to rate and hire applicants that are using Chat GPT to write their resumes.
The success of AI is dependent upon making future generations dumber.
Also, the Weeping angels from Dr. Who. Whatever you do, don’t blink.
ai = anonymous indians?
AI is worth every penny you spend on it.
But not the nickels, dimes, quarters, and certainly not the fifty cent pieces.
I used AI to get a Python method for converting a UTF-8 file to a Latin-1 encoding. It sent a function example with an error= option that didn’t actually exist in the real world. It’s almost like the AI decided it should exists, and just added it to the sample code based on that notion alone. I couldn’t find any actual documentation anywhere on the Python sources of record on PiPy that confirmed the code the AI sent actually could exist in reality.
