Extremely complicated machines, and considering how many flights per day, this is a rare. Still, glad I wasn’t aboard, had enough of my own tales to tell.
One “report said a loud noise preceded the vibration. Like damaged engine compressor rings. Anyone learns more, -follow up here THX.
Maytag?
Whutever happened to Lady Kenmore?
Kelvinator.
That thing was shakin’ like a Mexican space shuttle.
The problem turned out to be a wishy washy agitator.
The herd of water buffalo got loose in the cargo hold.
On the plus side, people taking Polaroids found that the pictures came out very quickly. 😉
On the upside the passengers reported having nicely loose muscles by the time the plane landed.
@Sinewavell, sphincter muscles?
Anonymous was me. Sorry
Those too, Cowgirl
That kind of vibration is very damaging, causing fasteners to loosen in unknown areas of the plane’s frame and fuselage. Very dangerous.
Well, from the outside it looks kinda like a giant vibrator.
“Airplanes By Maytag”
Funny thing about that title. My mother grew up in Iowa and as a young woman worked at the local Maytag facility. When the war broke out Maytag retooled and made a LOT of airplane parts.
Oops, sorry Bruce

I doubt anyone younger than 30 will get that. Makes me want to get out my Instamatic, use a flashcube, and go to Photo Hut to get some prints made. LOL
