Good morning!
That eagle reminds me of one that sometimes perches at the top of an elm tree on my property. I see him every few months. It’s a rarity to see an eagle in central Maryland. Usually we only see vultures (real and political).
Happy Sunday, everyone!
@Juliana, my little Ernie does the exact same thing. He wants his “Rib Rub” when he flops over like that.
That cardinal really stands out with its beautiful red feathers. There is a nesting pair that have been living in my yard for years.
Always a pleasure to open the week with our beastie pals.
Thanks Claudia!
That’s a zoo eagle
Claudia –
The cardinal is great. Reminds me of a time when my view of the world was outside my window looking at my pickup truck. I was bed ridden.
A male cardinal had found his ‘competition’ in the outside mirror on the door. I spent hours watching him fluff, strut, prance, and flit around his ‘antagonist’ that would only appear when he did.
It was a special time…
Claudia, thanks for today’s animals post. Your title reminded me of some of the funnest books I’ve read. They were just so delightful. 🙂

Candy,
I LOVED the books and even the BBC series based on them. My little sister and I used to watch it. Several months ago for dinner, I made “Bangers and Mash” as a tribute to Tristan!
Always puts a smile on my face…..thanks Claudia..
