Too extreme for my taste……….weatherwise! But as far as letting their regulations “sunset” and requiring the legislature to defend each to keep it instated is brilliant! The federal government should be held to the same standard. As a matter of fact I would submit that the legislature should be required to defend EVERY law on the books every year….

My mom was an Idaho native and my dad although he was born in Bisbee, Az. grew up in Idaho after my grandparents moved to N. Idaho permanently in the 1930’s. I could have been raised there but we chose to live in Spokane instead even after my grandparents died in the mid 60’s and we could’ve inherited the farm in Dalton Gardens just N of Coeur d’ Alene, Id. Having said that I love Idaho, it is still one of the last best places in the USA. Lake Coeur d’ Alene and Pend O’ Reille (pronounced Ponderay) are two of the most spectacular lakes in the country. And yes it is a little cold in the Winters up here but the Summers are beautiful and if you’ve never been on the Idaho Palouse in N Idaho (from Lewiston N to just S of CDA) with it’s wheat fields, and canola, and garbanzo beans (Billy beans) and lentil fields you’re missing some of the most beautiful farm country around. They have for the most part a live and let live mentality and attitude up here. The hunting and fishing is great and the people for the most part are great as well. And we don’t need no more stinking Californians and other refugees from liberal shitholes ruining it for the rest of us. I’ll admit that I’m biased because of where I live and want to keep Idaho as it is and was for the sake of my children and grandchildren as long as possible.

Ben Stein wrote about Idaho in the early ‘90’s when it was supposedly a hotbed of militant naziism. He wrote of how his son got lost and people helped look for him. He wrote of how friendly people were. He wrote of how people in California were anti-Semitic, to which he replied hat he was treated with more respect in Idaho on a daily basis than he was in California.

Geoff the aardvark,
Here we go again about California! For all who forgot California was the state of Reagan.
We also gave you Devin Nunes. My family tells me I was a Conservative in the womb and I have never changed. All my neighbors and friends are conservative and so are many, many of us who live here. We have been hijacked by voter fraud and by illegals. Maybe people in Idaho haven’t heard about illegal invasions or voter fraud.
Don’t be so foolish to think it couldn’t happen to your state too. California was taken down by Liberals purposefully! They went after Texas too and they are after the Conservative Southern States right now.
I am enraged by what has been done to my State but it hurts more when Conservatives who have not been through this disparage those of us fighting this battle. Count your blessings and remember that we are Americans too.

I’m not saying that all Californians are bad but enough of them think they can bring their leftwing politics with them as to mess it up for the rest of us. We are all Americans no matter where live, I just wish we could get along better. My wife’s family were lifelong friends with another large Catholic family who moved from California to Eastern Wash. back in the 50’s and eventually moved to Sandpoint, Id. where they became very successful pig farmers. We had a lot of real great pig roasts back in the 70’s and 80’s with them on their farm just N and E of Sandpoint up by Lake Pend O’ Reille. One of the parks in Sandpoint is also named after their father, they were and are good people.
You say potato…I say FUCK YEAH!
