America Won’t Be Great Again (Without Trump’s Economic Reforms)

Any economist will tell you that incentives matter and disincentives stifle economic activity. So when Donald Trump proposes cutting regulations, reforming the corporate tax rate to encourage re-investment at home, freeing up the energy sector, all the left can do is scream “Trickle Down” and “income inequality” and refute fundamental economics with envious self- interest. 1. Two words that will cure our economic problems: speaking fees. We should charge people, and particularly foreigners with whom we do business large fees just for the pleasure of having us speak with them. Have a computer problem and need to contact a call center in India? Charge them $100,000 to discuss why your iPhone won’t sync with your computer. Telemarketers from a third world country bothering you? For $5,000 a minute you will listen to their pitch. Damn, this is such an easy solution I should have been running for President.

  2. @Dr Tar: Why would the U.S. want to spend money on useful things when there are lots of ways to just piss it away? Sure, we could use the extra money from speaking fees to build a wall, but we could also require every business in the nation to paint at least one bathroom lavender and subsidize one-half of the cost.

Why would we want to waste money like this? How the fuck would I know – I’m a progressive and doing rational things is not in my wheel house.

  3. At the debate Hillary pretty much said removing and realigning regulations on businesses would be paid for by her tax increase on the ‘rich’. Since when does it cost more money to do less? When you run a government I guess.
