An Eye For An Eye

Dennis Prager’s latest video explains how the laws laid down in the Old Testament were not barbaric practices that we should turn our backs on today. Instead, they’re a great leap forward in the equal and fair application of the law within a society. Watch

  1. I am not the most pious person but I am seriously offended by those that mock and shun believers of Christianity.
They take it upon themselves to declare their 1st Amendment right to denounce religion trumps the rights of those who choose to believe.

  2. What I notice about the people who don’t want to see “an eye for an eye” is that they tend to believe that the person, the criminal, who commits the original act should be able to do so with impunity while victims just have to grin and bear it. Nothing shows this to be true more than crimes committed by illegal aliens. It matters little what harm they may cause as long as they are allowed to stay (and vote Democratic).

  3. RadioMatt,

This neglect of the “eye for an eye” code has been seen in the religions of the day. Now we are all told to love one another and forgive to one another – the “what would Jesus do” idea.

The argument of Jesus is love, completely forgets that He also overturned tables and drove out people who were sinning by selling and taking advantage of others in the Synagogue, and that he commanded that those who sin “go and sin no more”.

Now those who believe in the whole Bible, and those who have just benefited by living in a country that used to believe, have voted in a man who, though flawed, is perfect to bring back the ideas of fairness and justice to our land.

  4. Before KABC became a progressive/liberal “Talk Radio” station (about 10 – 13 years ago) Dennis had an early morning show “Religion on the Line”; then he had an afternoon show(name not remembered). As KABC started its left turn ~20 years ago Dennis went to KRLA. I hope it is clear that I listened to all his shows.; including KRLA.
I have not turned to KABC since early in the 21st century. I get more America hate from the TVs at the gym than I need. Why add a leftist radio station – particularly when I am free to hear something else. Not true at the gym!
For a guy with an Ivy League degree Dennis is in fact really smart! Unlike our last few Presidents!

  5. The timing here is also excellent. The “Affluenza Teen” was just released after 2 years imprisonment for killing 4 people in a drunk driving accident. How did those 4 families receive justice? How will the next? If, by his own admission, he’s too rich to know right from wrong, by definition he will always be a menace to society and should never walk free. While seeming barbaric to modern ears, at least an eye for an eye mentality stops recidivism.
