Andy McCabe Finds There’s No One To Vouch For His Character

Conservative Treehouse

A leak from McCabe’s legal team to their Lawfare ally at Politico, Natasha Bertrand, ends with a spectacular fail; highlighting a series of events entirely apropos of the McCabe character. This is just too darned funny.

Andrew McCabe’s legal team tell Politico journalist Natasha Bertrand that Obama officials were lined up to speak as character witnesses in his defense…

…Immediately after publishing the article, Ms. Bertrand began receiving some rather snarky responses. John Brennan, James Clapper, Eric Holder and Susan Rice will appear as character witnesses? Seriously? More

  1. Clapper…Cohen…Cohen…Cole………..Holley.

Hunh. I was sure he’d be on the list after this:

“Special Agent Andrew McCabe stood tall over the last 8 months, when small people were trying to tear down an institution we all depend on. He served with distinction for two decades. I wish Andy well…”

  2. All of his so-called “charges” are for violations of internal FBI “rules” — “Lack of candor.” I’ve always wondered about how it is that the FBI and other federal agencies could, apparently, codify their own “rules” (laws) that render prosecution, verdicts and punishment toothless. It’s not as though they are the military with a similar Uniform Code of Military Justice, military tribunals, prisons, etc, and yet that’s how they seem to operate. Why can’t people who are interrogated by the FBI claim “lack of candor” when they are caught lying to them? I’m serious about this.
