Once it became apparent that most of America prefers Trump’s vision of America over Hillary’s vision of America, the Clintons and their allies in the media decided to play in the mud. That may have worked, except that Hillary is a bigger bully than Trump, is married to a man who is an actual sex offender and may have engaged in sex with underage females, whose top aide was married to a likely child molester, and who made hundreds of millions of dollars using her public office and a questionable Clinton Foundation. If a candidate wants to play in the mud, he or she should first make sure the splash back doesn’t swamp her.
Philosophically the media agrees with Hillary’s progressive politics. But continuing their overt support of Hillary means that they are supporting a crooked politician, and this is tarring the media almost as much as it is sinking Hillary. The media has little choice but to back off, but it is too late – this election has devolved into sex and crime with the media perceived as little more than another cover-up organization for corrupt Democrats.
Incidentally, Trump refers to his opponent as “crooked Hillary,” and as time goes on he is being proven as absolutely right.
