A detailed account of every second of the Apollo 11 descent and landing. The video combines data from the onboard computer for altitude and pitch angle, 16mm film that was shot throughout the descent at 6 frames per second. The audio recording is from two sources. The air/ground transmissions are on the left stereo channel and the mission control flight director loop is on the right channel. WATCH

  1. The only thing that bothers me about the moon landing is the U.S. FLAG. Over the years solar radiation has faded it to pure white, so now if aliens were to visit our moon they will probably think it was colonized by the FRENCH! 🙂

    I suggest that in the history of Western Civilization the most profoundly held sense of duty has been that of Michael Collins, Major General USAFR(Retired).

  3. The 1989 documentary, “For All Mankind”, is another film I recommend. I found it on TCM and it consists of NASA footage from Apollos 8-17, with audio of the actual transmissions from the crews, later interviews with the astronauts, and spacey electronic music by Brian Eno.

    You left out all the moslems. It was really Mohamhead Armstrong who first stepped onto the lunar surface but he promptly blew himself up in the name of Allah. That’s why they had to film a recreation that everyone says was proof we never went to the moon.
