  1. It’s kind of amazing how well cold ground objects can stay cool even though it’s 98° outside. This is my first winter here and even though I kept the garage 65° all winter, the concrete floor is cool to the touch.

    Next, I had a pole barn shed built this spring. With the wrap around porch, it is 54’x 40′. There was about 100 tons of gravel brought in and about 65 tons of concrete poured onto. As I’m awaiting electricity, I leave the overhead doors open to dry everything out. Last week I went in there and there were puddles everywhere, my new roof leaks? Nope, they’re condensation puddles because the gravel and concrete are still sucking the cold ground up to the surface!
