COOLIDGE, AZ — Coolidge police arrested a man who claimed he had been kidnapped near 1st Street and Northern Avenue in Coolidge to get out of work.
The Casa Grande Dispatch reported at around 5:25 p.m. on Feb.10 that police say they found 19-year-old Brandon Soules near a water tower with his hands bound behind his back and a bandana stuffed in his mouth.
Soules told police he was kidnapped by two masked men. He says the men knocked him unconscious and drove him around in a vehicle before leaving him by a water tower. more
I’m guessing if you fake your own kidnapping, you get a lot of say in the amount of ransom money.
He got his wish. He doesn’t have to go to work at that job ever again. Feel good story.
Was J. Smollett anywhere around?
Not as good as my excuse of being kidnapped by aliens from planet Piglosi.
Let me guess… the two masked men turn out to be Nigerian brothers.

I used to do that to avoid school.
I’ve kidnapped myself repeatedly and won’t pay the ransom to get myself back….
Good golly….
If people put as much effort into doing their jobs as they put into avoiding it the world would be a much better place.
He’s been spending too much time watching cop TV shows and must believe that stuff is real.
Fake COVID next time dude.
The kidnappers left a ransom note, but the dog ate it.
^^@Jerry Manderin
He used that last week.
All he had to do was join a teacher’s union
I was expecting the guys name to be Jamal or Hector. Seems as though those names are always in the news.
He was fired from his job at The Tire Factory. I’m guessing he never put as much effort into his job as he did tying up and gagging himself.
