Baby Shark Bath Toys Recalled

Medical Express

Nearly 8 million Baby Shark and Mini Baby Shark bath toys have been recalled because they can cause serious injuries to children.

When using these bath toys, particularly in a bathtub or wading pool, a child can sit, slip or fall onto the shark’s hard plastic top fin, posing risks of impalement, lacerations and puncture wounds, according to the company, Zuru. More

  1. They should recall Oceangate branded bath toys as well.

They come apart without warning in the bottom of the tub, posing myriad hazards and the loss of all action figures inside.

Whistleblowers from the toy company said they warned them, but were immediately fired.

Oceangate Toys issued a statement that no 50 yo White men would be involved in the investigation.

  2. Best baty toys back in the day were those one piece blow moulded plastic things that were vaugely submarine shaped, but put a little baking soda under it and it would go down and come back up all by itself for several cycles. Usually came free in Sugar Smacks or equally diabetes inducing cereals.

Most toy issues I saw on the squad was littler kids putting things in their mouths, lacerating the inside of their mouths, the upper end of their throats, worst case its a choking call but usually resolved quickly. Occasionally a cheek pierced which is not a good look but not immediately fatal. Don’t really remember a kid dying from falling on a toy in the bath, its certainly possible but maybe parents were just better at controlling bath time back in the day too.

  3. Well, you kinda have to expect piercing damage. It’s in the mame: shark.

Next I suppose they’re gonna’ recall the jellyfish toys with battery acid too….

  4. One idiot (chinese) seller on amazon is peddling a plastic bath chair for babies, to be used while bathing in tub. Imprinted instructions on the chair stupidly state “do not put in water”.
