Baby thrives after being given pacemaker for heart condition

WND

A baby is thriving in the United Kingdom after being given a battery-sized pacemaker for a heart condition at birth.

This is after the mom, who had been offered abortion when the baby’s condition was discovered in utero, chose life.

A report from the Christian Institute explains the mother, Rae Dawson, was offered abortion at 20 weeks when medics said her baby’s heart was not pumping correctly.

At birth, Esme, just about five pounds, was fitted with a tiny pacemaker.

A year and a half later, she’s “coming on in leaps and bounds,” the report said. more

  1. Being born in the UK with any heart condition is a guaranteed death sentence. I am amazed that she was even allowed to receive a pacemaker, let alone thrive with one.

  2. Babies are not adults, and their progression of infirmities don’t follow adult patterns. There is every possibility it was a developmental delay and the infant will quickly outgrow the need for it. Baby hearts are tricky and there’s a lot they have to go through very quickly to transition from fetal circulation using Mom’s oxygen to fully air breathing, and some little guys will be fine with all that if just given a little initial help.

Thank God he inspired someone to invent the device and someone else tenacious enough to push Communist Medicine into allowing it. That HAD to be God because the Commumist devil ain’t gonna move for anyone else…

  3. Amazing that the powers to be in Washington, have no issue of flushing healthy babies with abortions while with the other hand paying for who knows what invaders who are complete unknowns with bad back grounds who are allowed to walk into America with chance of conversion. This child here has a more likely chance of becoming an asset to America with proper parents. The blind fools running the government can’t see anything because they are blind with greed for tax dollars.

  4. I have a pacemaker, it’s the size of a june bug, got little claws to hold it in place.
They put it in by going through the femoral artery to the heart.
Pretty darn amazing, 8 years on the battery, maybe 10.
When the battery wears out they put in another, leave the old one in.
My heart rate was down to 48bpm, damn slow.
Like Ringo, I got tired of waking up on the floor.
Amazing, my son in law is inventing an implant to diagnose people like you hook up a modern car to a computer to find out what is wrong.
Yeah, he’s pretty much a genius, if it gets approved, he will be in the money.
