Baltimore Student In Top Half Of His Class Failed All But Three Courses, Earning A 0.13 GPA

Fox News

A Baltimore high school student failed all but three classes over four years and almost graduated near the top half of his class with a 0.13 GPA, according to a local report.

Tiffany France, the mother of the failing student, thought her son would be receiving his diploma from Augusta Fells Savage Institute of Visual Arts in June. However, she was surprised to discover that he is being sent back to the ninth grade to start over.

“He’s stressed, and I am, too. I told him I’m probably going to start crying,” France told FOX 45 Baltimore. More

  1. He’s in the top half because everyone below him never shows up.

My next door neighbor is a HS teacher. He says the 2020/2021 school year is ruining the kids.

  2. This woman with her nails and weave pisses me off! Blame it on the school! You are responsible for him!! How many kids does she have? Where are the three jobs that she be working. She doesn’t look in no ways tired! 😡 this is the shit we’re getting. Heard a do today on a rock station telling everyone to unplug all devices and just relax in not hearing anything. So they are saying don’t educate yourself either! Fing Liberian!!

  3. Not a bug but a feature of the education system. If the younger generation is stupid and unable to think for themselves they will make great democrat voters (or cannon fodder when China wants the US military to fight for it (after all, with all of these trillion dollar spending bills China will be owning us, if it doesn’t already). After all, it appears to have worked great for his mother (don’t schools send home the students grades for signoff anymore?).

  4. How many of this kid’s class mates are going to fail and just walk away from education once they’re 18?

I wonder what the teacher’s union in Baltimore think of the job their members are doing educating future generations?

Yeah, blame the kid, blame the parent, blame the school, don’t forget to blame the city and the state while we’re at it. Talk about the prejudice of low expectations.

  5. I had to stop watching when the mother started “the school failed, they failed, they failed, they failed. And she thought her son was going to graduate.

  6. Guess the mother came into some money – last sentence of Fox News link:

“France pulled her son out of the school, and he is currently enrolled in an accelerated program that could allow him to graduate in 2023.”

  7. @MJA, I never went to school. I was very sickly as a child and had numerous operations. By high school I had had enough of the bullying and stupidity. I simply refused to go. So I would get the homework, do it, go and take the tests and get the next months homework. Mom just signed a note every time that I was sick. I was on track to graduate with my class with a 3. something GPA when Jim happened. I did go take the GED a couple of years later. I think that my unusual temperament worked to my favor by escaping the indoctrination. I was a voracious reader too.
